Room to roam looks different for everyone.
For some, it's wide-open acreage with horses grazing in the pasture.
For others, it's a cozy cottage overlooking the bay, mornings spent walking the beach, fresh seafood at the marina, and weekends exploring one of the Oregon Coast's favorite small-town traditions.
This weekend, that tradition is the 66th Annual Garibaldi Days.
🎉 Celebrating 66 Years of Community
For 66 years, Garibaldi Days has been bringing our community together for one unforgettable summer weekend.
Each year, this little fishing town comes alive with laughter, live music, incredible food, local traditions, and activities for all ages.
Whether you've been coming every year since you were a kid or it's your very first visit, there's something special about walking through Garibaldi during this weekend. It reminds you why small-town communities are so easy to fall in love with.
🎡 A Weekend Packed with Fun
If you're planning to stop by this weekend, here's just a glimpse of what you'll find:
🎶 Live music throughout the weekend
🍔 Delicious local food vendors
🛍️ Handmade goods and local shopping
🎨 Face painting and family activities
🏰 Bounce houses for the kids
🎯 Games and contests
đźš‚ Rides on the historic Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad
đźš’ The always-popular Water Ball competition featuring local firefighters and the U.S. Coast Guard
âš“ Tours of the historic Coast Guard Boathouse
🎆 A spectacular fireworks show on Saturday night
There's truly something happening around every corner, making it a fun weekend whether you're visiting for the day or spending the whole weekend in Garibaldi.
🦀 Don't Leave Hungry
One of my favorite things about Garibaldi is that it still feels like a real working fishing town.
Watching boats come and go from the port while enjoying fresh fish and chips or a seafood lunch overlooking the marina never gets old.
Whether you're craving freshly caught seafood, classic fish and chips, or simply want to relax by the water, Garibaldi is one of the best places on the Oregon Coast to do it.
It's one of those simple experiences that reminds you why so many people choose to visit... and eventually decide to call this area home.
❤️ More Than Just a Festival
Garibaldi Days is about more than vendors, music, food, and fireworks.
It's about community.
It's neighbors catching up after a busy summer.
Kids making memories they'll remember for years.
Local businesses welcoming visitors.
Volunteers giving their time to keep traditions alive.
And celebrating the hardworking people who help make this little coastal town such a special place to call home. 🤍 Room to Roam Isn't Always Measured in Acres
Sometimes it's measured in beach walks.
Sometimes it's measured in afternoons spent riding the train with your kids.
Sometimes it's measured in fresh seafood at the marina, fireworks over the bay, and weekends spent making memories with the people you love.
Because home is about so much more than four walls.
It's about the memories you make there.
The places you return to year after year.
The traditions your family looks forward to every summer.
That's what Room to Roam means to me.
